The numbers
Tidy Wilds hasn't launched yet. Once it does, this page will show the trees we order each month, and the trees our planting partner has confirmed are planted.
No real trees have been ordered or planted through Tidy Wilds so far, and test builds of the game order none.
No trees have been ordered yet. Trees earned in the launch month are ordered early the following month, once that month’s tree budget is set.

“Ordered” means we have ordered and paid for the tree with our planting partner; the partner’s project plants it in its next planting season. We only call a tree planted once the partner confirms it is in the ground: those trees are in the month-by-month table below. The total and the table include Golden Seed trees, which are paid for out of their purchase; the month’s budget figure doesn’t. Totals include trees ordered before the last 12 months.

Ordered by project
“Planted” counts trees our planting partner has confirmed are in the ground, in the month it confirmed them. “Paid” is what we paid the partner for the trees ordered that month, before VAT, summed from our own order records; we check it against the partner’s invoices every month. Test trees are never counted.
Who plants the trees
We fund each tree through our planting partner, Tree-Nation. We buy the trees: they are not donations, and the partner is a company we pay for each tree, not a charity. Each world has its own real species, chosen from the partner’s reforestation projects, and the project plants the tree in its next planting season, usually within 12 months of our order. No one can promise every young tree survives.
How a tree gets planted
- Earned. A player finishes one of the game’s worlds for the first time (or grows a tree in their Seed Garden), and our server replays the winning moves to check the win is genuine.
- Ordered. We order and pay for the tree with our partner out of the game’s income. The game shows it as ordered, and adds that the partner’s project plants it in its next planting season.
- Planted. Once our planting partner confirms the tree is in the ground, it shows as planted, with that date. Until then this step stays open.
Players never pay for world trees. A Golden Seed bought in the game also earns one real tree, paid for by us out of that purchase; those trees are ordered straight away and are counted here too.
How we prove it
We want you to be able to check every real tree, not just take our word for it.
- A code for every tree. Each real tree gets its own tree code, like TW-7F3K2. It is printed on the tree’s certificate in the game and sent to our planting partner with the order, so the partner’s own record of the tree carries the same code.
- A public check page. Anyone can type a code (or scan the certificate’s QR code) at tidywilds.com/tree to see what earned the tree, its dates, its species and planting project, and a link to the partner’s own record. The page never shows who earned the tree.
- Dates from our records. Each step (Earned, Ordered, Planted) is dated from our order records and the partner’s confirmations, never ahead of them.
- The partner’s own details. The species and project shown are the ones the partner reported for that exact tree. We check them against the partner’s public records every week.
- Monthly numbers, checked. The table above is worked out from our order records. Each month we check it against our planting partner’s invoices, and fix and explain any difference.
Young trees can fail, and no one can promise every young tree survives. These checks show that each tree was ordered and paid for, and when the partner confirmed it was planted; they don’t promise more than that.
How the monthly tree budget works
- Trees are only ever bought with money the game has already earned. Each month’s tree budget is set from the previous month’s net income (after the app stores’ fees and VAT), converted into trees at our partner’s price.
- The budget is a ceiling on how many trees we order in a month, not a limit on how many players can earn.
- If a month’s budget runs out, earned trees wait in a queue, oldest first, and are ordered as soon as the next budget arrives, usually early the next month. If income is low, a tree can wait more than a month.
- In the launch month there is no previous month’s income yet, so trees earned then are ordered early the following month.
